"Greetings fellow rangers and sentinels, It seems to Char that some things have slipped as of late. Slipped a lot.
Everyone needs to go to the Judicial Chambers and take a look at the Ranger Code. Well, more than take a look, we need to get back to living it. The Rangers have had a long and hard history. The way we survived was by our honor and determination that we can make the galaxy a better place.
Char believes that we still can, and we will. However, we need to realize that the rules are there, and they need to be abided by.
This isn't a huge bitch session, because Olort is as much at fault as everyone else.
-From this point forward the military section will resume the use of ranks in communications. The civilian side will use proper form of address in communications outside specific faction channels (IE private IRC channels, PMs between members of equal or nearly equal rank)
-Everyone's infofield needs to kept current. Your rank is in the first one, dept 2nd(logistics, culture, etc) the 3rd one is reserved for future use.
-Our respect for our fellow sentients will extend to those who have made the mistake of becoming our enemy. We seek to show by our actions and the example of our lives of what the proper thing to do is. How we treat those who are against us speaks volumes, probably more than the way we treat our friends.
-The members of the Advisory Council shall be referred to as Advisor, or title, if they have one. (The Advisory Council are either Rangers of long standing, or veteran Combine players, they are deserving of respect)
-Proper daily conduct among the various sentients of the various factions is crucial to our success and this has been proven true over and over. If one gives one advice, especially from the higher ranks down to the lower ranks, consider well before disregarding said advice. If one gives one an order, live it to death. Consider well the actions and words of even the newest recruit, we were all there at one point. More instruction can be passed on by a patient listener, than a howling madman, in both directions.
Exceptions to the rule:
#cmg-rangers for the recruits/cadets will be a rank free zone, but proper respect will be shown both up and down the chain of command
#rangers is an OOC channel
#TAO is the High Command channel and therefore falls under the equal or nearly equal statute" End of News

A ceremony room filled with The Antarian Ranger banners filled the halls with tables of food and liquor from all over the galaxy. The table centered in the back of the hall seemed to be where all the High Ranking dignitaries and The Antarian Ranger High Command sit. The tabled lined as the other tables with food and liquors but also a table cloth of bright purple with it being lined gold that. In front of the table set a podium where Flich Warfield stood. Flich dressed in white mess dress uniform he used in all important diplomatic meetings and occasions.
I bid you welcome to this special occasion. I am the one conducting this ceremony. I hope you enjoy your food and beverages. I welcome our special guests including our Jedi friends.
Flich paused for a second, shuffling through papers gathering his thoughts and arranging several ribbons that would be awarded.
Without further ado I will explain the meaning of this occasion. Several months ago we began a project to expand our capital, influence, and population of several of our worlds. This project was known as the Casit Tax Planet. The following individuals that I call out must rise and come forth to be awarded.

Flich continued on to the rest of the awards, pulling out two more medals to be awarded.
The next two individuals distinguished themselves very highly in the efforts of stopping traitors and thieves alike by capturing a known accomplice in the theft of Bittny, a planet we owned. These two will be proudly presented the Meritorious Service Medal. These two devised and carried out a successful plan to obtain Tui NaAlta. Their names are:

Rigorous applauds sounds throughout the halls as the recipients got awarded their awards. After a few moments of applauds Flich raised his hand to calm the crowd of the excitement
Finally there is one promotion that I can not give by my hand.
Flich stepped back and allowed the crowd to be taken by the Ranger 1, Char`Kargis Olort. Char`Kargis came forward to the podium to speak.
ATTENTION TO ORDERS:
Citation to accompany the rank of Ranger 3 to Flich Warfield. Ambassador Plenipotentiary Flich Warfield has distinguished himself in the performance of outstanding service to The Antarian Rangers in the reorganization of The Antarian Rangers to a full fledged government, diplomatic means to the Galactic Alliance, and finally various construction projects including the Casit Project. During this time period his dynamic leadership and exemplary foresight consistently forged powerful results in every area of endeavor, resulting in the increased effectiveness and success of The Antarian Rangers. Since the beloved Rhys Skywalker passed away, Flich Warfield has took the reigns with all his might and has been very successful in these endeavors.
Ranger 3 will be a product of leadership of the Internal and External Affairs. Ambassador Warfield will be required to hold all diplomatic positions on top of all external and internal affairs including: Recruitment, Construction, Logistics, Culture, and other various rules with helping Ranger 2 in military affairs when required and Ranger 1 in other roles as required.
“We will now proceed with the promotion portion of today's ceremony. Ranger One of The Antarian Rangers, has placed special trust and confidence in the patriotism, integrity, and abilities of Ambassador Plenipotentiary Flich Warfiled. In view of these special qualities and his demonstrated potential to serve in the higher grade, Ambassador Flich Warfield is authorized to assume the title and rank of Ranger 3.

Less than a month after first reports aroused about the illegal machinations of the Darklights and in particular their leaders, Sharon and Wes Ugon, The Antarian Rangers and The Jedi Order invited the Galaxy to a press-conference broadcasted by the Galactic News Services at the Dantooine System. During the conference Jormungand Gand of The Antarian Rangers, and Thragg Craghorn of The Jedi Praxium announced a decisive success against the group and its leadership. The following transmission is a videofeed from Dantooine, presented by Corn Vainior…
A seemingly normal conference room is coming into view, with two Gand visible, both standing behind speaker desks bearing the seals of the Rangers, and the Order respectively.
The Ranger addresses the audience:
“Antarian Ranger SpecForces supported by elements of The Jedi Order, in particular Master Thragg Craghorn of the tribe Craag’haarn, successfully apprehended Sharon and Wes Ugon, the leaders of the Darklights in a joint operation conducted during the past 24 hours.
As we all know, both, Wes and Sharon Ugon, have not only earned somewhat of a ‘reputation’ in the Galactic trade scene for alleged theft and scam, the group Darklights has also declared its public interest into bounty-hunting, an euphemism for assassination.”
Thragg Craghorn continues… ”in addition, the Jedi Order had placed a warrant on Padawan Wes Ugon upon his defection from The Jedi Order, succumbing to the Dark Side. While Wes Ugon is already in custody of the Order to face a tribunal, Sharon Ugon is presently held in custody of the Rangers. That is all, thank you…”
He focus returns to Corn Vainior, while the two Gand leave the conference room, ignoring the questions shouted to them by the assembled reporters.
“Given the rather short time since the appearance of the Darklights, this news certainly comes as pleasant surprise, as alleged criminals where removed from the galactic scene to face law and justice. Moreover, earlier this day GNS has issued a newsflash announcing the dissolution of the entire Darklights group, in all likelihood the direct result of the swift and precise action of the Rangers and the Order … thank you for listening, Corn Vainior.” |
